Alamance County has been home for nearly my entire life, and I care deeply about our people and our future. Serving as Clerk of Superior Court is more than a job; it’s a responsibility I take to heart. Each day, I strive to lead with fairness, respect, and a commitment to doing what’s right for the people we serve.

I was born in Little Washington and moved to Burlington at age five. Alamance County has always been home. My father is retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, and my mother retired from the Alamance County Clerk's Office. My early experience working for my business law professor sparked a lifelong passion for the law, and after many years working for attorneys, I transitioned to public service. After my mother's retirement, I began working at the Clerk's Office and discovered what she already knew: this work is meaningful, and it became my calling.

I have been married to my husband, Dean, for 21 years. Dean is a proud US Navy veteran and retired after 26 years with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office. He continues to serve part-time as a courtroom bailiff here in Alamance County. I am also blessed with a bonus son, Ian, his wife Lyndsey, and four wonderful grandchildren, Joseph, Amelia, Max, and Zelie, who constantly remind me why strong, compassionate service matters.
